Weapons Question
So I've finally got lvl 20 on my Dervish, so I was like better get a good scythe so I can own all the PvP only noobs. But the tables have turned and I realized I have no idea were to get a good weapon. So is there a place, I only have Nightfall right now mind u, that I can find a good weapon. All input is appreciated.

Just make a pvp only 'noob' character as you put it, they all have perfect armour and weps for free.

T0011 I'm not calling all PvP only people noobs, just the people who only use them instead of playing threw the game.

Because people don't want to spend money and time to get into PvP?
The same can be said for those who don't actually like PvE. 3 Scythes with these mods: 15^50 +30HP. Each one has one of these mods: Zealous, Sundering, Elemental. (Zealous can be swapped for a defensive set) Staff with the following mods: 20% HRT (Any skill) 20% Enchanting 10% HCT 10% HCT Swap into the staff for enchantments, sundering can be camped 'cause scythe damage is big, elemental for hitting Warriors. You're calling me a noob?
Wait I keep forgetting I unlocked HM on my monk. Nevermind. If you want a good scythe, get a clockwork scythe because it looks cool, 20/20 is nice, 15^50 is also nice, and +30 HP, you can never have too much HP! But of course, it's your choice what mods you want. 15^50, 20/20, and +30 HP is just the most common one. |

The guy used the word "threw" instead of "through," I wouldn't get offended by anything he said.
Just beat Nightfall (if you have, as you put it, gone "threw the game") and pick up an end game green. |

unless you have the bonus mission pack, the only way to get a good weapon is either from another player or if you get it from a collector. you can also get a lot of req 9 maxed damage weapons from drops but to get a gold one with good stats you have to be lucky. The best mods for a scythe imho is a 15^50, either zealous or vamp or a 20/20 then i would either use a +30 or a 20% enchant you should also learn to weapon swap.
P.S you can also either buy greens or farm for them Last edited by dilan155; Sep 14, 2008 at 06:35 PM // 18:35.. |

most common =/= best.
it depends on your build. you will also need an elemental modded scythe for higher AL foes. 20% ench almost always is more useful than +30 on a derv, but you can be the judge of that when you calculate how much it actually adds for your skills. wounding strike comes back brokenly fast, so cruel mod isnt really that useful. vamp mods are useful but i dont really know with dervs, especially since they only have one (useful) IAS. also, read more about pvp before you jump into it. pve is actually an entirely different game from pvp skill-wise (like skills, not actual skill... but it is that too ... lol). |

+20% enchantments on scythe is bad. +30HP will help your survivability immensely, and weaponswapping says hi. |

Here's a list of all the collectors offering scythes in NF:
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/List_...s_in_Nightfall If you want one that already has prefix and suffix mods attached, here's a list of all the green scythes in NF http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/List_..._items#Dervish Or, as mentioned before, you could buy them (and any mods you need) from other players. Seems like the first thing you need to do is determine what "good weapon" means for your playstyle and build. Look at the options for what the various scythe snathes (prefix mods,) grips (suffix mods,) and inscriptions do. As others have mentioned, you may very well find you need multiple scythes for weapon swapping, different builds, etc. Happy hunting! |

End game scythes can be obtained by playing threw the game. Get a vamp mod for fun(hand of the forgotten i think...) but keep another one with elemental upgrades just in case.(preferably earth or cold if you want to use the 2 elites...)
